§ 20.8. Violations; penalty.

  • (a)

    If any person violates any provision of this article or by any means or actions prevents or attempts to prevent any employee of and/or other person authorized by the town from carrying out the provisions of this article, he shall be deemed guilty of a misdemeanor and, upon conviction thereof, may be punished as provided in section 1-11.

    (b)

    The fact that the town may cause the premises, building, buildings, or parts thereof, or other structure to [be] demolished or repaired at the expense of the person owning the same shall not preclude the town mayor from taking legal action in a court of competent jurisdiction against the person who shall fail, neglect or refuse to comply with the orders of the town mayor and board of aldermen; and the violation or disregard of such orders shall be considered a violation of this article.
