§ 1-14. Miscellaneous actions and ordinances not affected by Code.
Nothing in this Code or the ordinance adopting this Code shall affect:
(1)
Any offense or act committed or done or any contract or right established or accruing before the effective date of this Code;
(2)
Any prosecution, suit or proceeding pending or any judgment or decree rendered prior to the effective date of this Code;
(3)
Any ordinance promising, guaranteeing or authorizing the payment of money for the town or authorizing the issue of any bonds or other evidences of indebtedness;
(4)
Any contract or obligation of the town;
(5)
Any administrative ordinance of the town not inconsistent with this Code;
(6)
Any right or franchise conferred or granted prior to the effective date of this Code;
(7)
Any ordinance establishing the compensation of town officers and employees;
(8)
The annual tax levies or any budget or appropriation ordinance;
(9)
Any ordinance regulating traffic or parking at specific locations;
(10)
Any ordinance accepting, vacating, naming, establishing, locating, relocating, opening or ordering the improvement of any street or public way in the town;
(11)
Any ordinance relating to special assessments;
(12)
Any ordinance pertaining to zoning or subdivisions;
(13)
Any ordinance or resolution establishing and/or prescribing employment, benefits, and/or personnel policies and procedures;
(14)
Any ordinance pertaining to any specific election, or the calling of regular or special elections, or promulgating the results of such elections; and
(15)
Any ordinance or resolution of agreement with another political subdivision;
and all such actions and ordinances are recognized as continuing in full force and effect to the same extent as if set out at length in this Code.
